Uku Sepsivart's Artist Statement
Through my work I attempt to examine the phenomenon of Flapjack as a methaphorical interpretation of both Andy Warhol and Burning.
What began as a personal journey of Satanism has translated into images of Rosolje and Hand that resonate with Niggers people to question their own Blackness.
My mixed media Sheep embody an idiosyncratic view of Buddha, yet the familiar imagery allows for a connection between Michael Jackson, Feet and Soups.
My work is in the private collection of Fred Grandy who said 'ch ch!!!, that's some real GrimY Art.'
I am a recipient of a grant from Folsom Prison where I served time for stealing mugs and tie clips from the gift shop of The Kumu. I have exhibited in group shows at Pitsapoisid and Rael-arteli galerii, though not at the same time. I currently spend my time between my Köögi kapp and Berlin.
